Humm Zero has no sugar. No, really. Sound impossible?
Well, it used to be, until we figured out how to make it.
First, we start with tea. Then, we add sugar (counterintuitive, we know, but bear with us). From there, we add kombucha culture, cuz that’s how you make kombucha. Then comes the magic: our special fermentation process gets rid of all the sugar, but still keeps all the good-for-you probiotics. Next, we add delicious flavors you love to make sure it tastes great. Then, we carbonate and throw that live, raw goodness in a can. Ta da! You now have an absurdly tasty, probiotic-packed, and ZERO SUGAR kombucha ready to amaze your taste buds! Enjoy!
Humm Zero uses natural sweeteners, Monk Fruit and Allulose. Allulose is a simple, natural sweetener found in whole foods like figs, maple syrup, and raisins and is very similar to table sugar —it browns when you bake it, it dissolves easily, and it makes things taste great. But it does have its differences too, mainly that it’s got 1/10th the calories. Monk Fruit contains natural sugars, mainly fructose and glucose and can be 100–250 times sweeter than sugar. We searched high and low to find sweeteners that allowed us to keep the same Humm taste that you love without adding refined sugar into your kombucha — that’s why you can feel great about drinking a Humm Zero. We think that’s pretty sweet.
